Aaaaand...he's....OUTTA THERE!!!
I'm reminded of a comment Gerald Ford made to the country when Nixon stepped down and the office was transferred to Ford. He said:
"My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over."
I'm *reminded* of that. It's not quite accurate in today's climate, but it does indeed feel like we're stirring from a national nightmare. Whether or not we slip back into it or not is another matter, but for the first time in 6 years I feel that elusive quality of HOPE.

I can't stop smiling. :)
Need to call the parentals as they must be in sheer ecstasy. (We pretty much despise Rumsfeld.)
Personally, I'd love to see an Impeachment next. America should not be run by a moron. Only problem with that is, Cheney is more of an Evil.
Ok! End of Political Commentary! I usually try to keep these comments under wraps. But, screw it. We had good news for once.
;)
Liberal to the end,

"The nightmare is over."
Except that Bush appointed an ex-CIA to take his place.
"The new nightmare has now begun."
But, hey, at least we're finally going to have a woman speaker of the house. And she's no Thatcher. She's a feminist!
Hey Laura! Yeah, Nancy Pelosi rocks. The new Defense guy...yeah, a Bush apointee is going to suck no matter what, but i was so sick of Rummy, they could have appointed Carrot Top and I would have been happy.
